"To Lead God's Flock With Shepherd's Rod" was commissioned by the Eastern Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada in recognition of the ministry of retiring Bishop Michael Pryse. This concertato setting based on the original hymn text and tune, scored for SATB choir, piano, organ and strings, premiered at the banquet dinner at the 2024 Eastern Synod Assembly.
