A New Thing: Three Anthems of Prayer, Peace and Renewal

The three choral pieces in this volume were all composed during the coronavirus pandemic while in quarantine. Each represents a part of the life of the church at that perilous time, while at the same time taking on significant meaning now, five years later.

When We Call Upon Your Name represents the unknown and seeking out God in times of trouble.

Peace Be With You was composed as a substitute for the sharing of the peace, but now is a call for peace that spans from peace within ourselves to peace among the nations.

A New Thing was composed as a reflection for the new things God was doing during the pandemic, yet is equally applicable to the life of the church today.
